The Reel Lawn Mower History & Preservation Project @ North Farms evolved from the combination of two areas of interest. The Collection was begun to preserve the antique and vintage hand, horse & motor lawn mowers of the 19th and early 20th century. Currently there are over 200 mowers representing 25 manufacturers. The Reel Lawn Mower History Project was started to assist in the restoration efforts of the older cutting units. It also works to increase historical knowledge of their many makers.
